Tim Carr is known as a quiet, confident man who prefers to let his work speak for him. Throughout his career, he has shown a rare combination of vision, ability and savviness. Carr comes from an extensive culinary background, bringing his talent from Lancaster Country Club and Bent Creek Country Club. We will surprise and delight your taste buds at the former Market Fare Restaurant-now known as Carr's.

Carr, who is a proud Lancaster County native, offers a menu which is simple, direct, yet fine-edged, with respect for local suppliers of fresh meats, vegetables, fruit and fowl. A local favorite is Eberly Farms French style chicken, an organically raised bird, pure in flavor, prepared in an herb-infused marsala jus and served with a chive potato purée. And how satisfying it is to go to a new restaurant and find something for everyone! Our offerings are best described as an eclectic combination of flavorful dishes, with regional tastes still dictating slight variations.

Customers also love the new decor of the downtown Lancaster restaurant. Along the back wall of the restaurant there is a glass wall that allows the diners to view the wine cellar, boasting one of Lancaster's most extensive wine lists. The remaining walls are a golden textured faux paint, emphasizing the mural, which gives one the feeling of sitting in a casual, European café. It's absolutely wonderful, with the staff accomplishing the decorating themselves. It simply evolved into the warm and inviting atmosphere which will welcome the customer for many years to come.
